Route: Rock Climbing and Bouldering on Stanage Edge (Apparent North)

First of the bouldering routes. This was the first time myself and Alice had bouldered outside so we opted for easy ones! This was about a 4a.

Such a contrast from yesterday.

More breathtaking views today!

Nick climbing up the rock.

Couldn't resis a few posing shots!

Warm sunshine and a difficult problem...

We set up a top rope on this one which was an E1 just to give it a go. It was hard...

Old Millstones left by Stanage Edge.

Fantastic views down the valley.

Patches of snow still about on Kinder Scout.

Mam Tor and Lose Hill - we have a further day in the Peaks which we all agreed to go for a walk instead of climb. Thats the ridge we will do.

A view of Burbage North.
The Trig Point on the south summit of Stanage Edge.
North along the edge from the Trig.
Lovely to be up here in the sunshine.

A full 360 panorama from the summit. Click for larger version.
The sun starting to set on a superb days climbing. Probably one of the best days climbing I've ever had!
Sunset from Apparent North.

Finishing up with an abseil down a 10 metre rock face and a look over to enjoy the sunset.
Tomorrows weather is set to be the same as today.
