The weather was set to be beautiful today, with wall to wall sunshine so I had to get out and go for another little walk somewhere local again. I headed over to nearby Glemsford to walk around the gentle hills to the north. This area is one of the most beautiful in Suffolk, with tiny villages and broad open fields and gentle rolling hills.

Glemsford Silk Mills. Now disused since a fire and planning permission to build houses on the site.

Chequers. A beautiful 16th Century timber framed house.

Another pgoto of Chequers.

Now heading out of the village and into the countryside.

A gentle descent to the valley floor.

Gentle hills beyond.

It is lovely to walk around this area.

The small village of Stanstead up on the hill.

Following the road north west.

Looking north west from the top of a little ascent.

And a final view north east from near the top of this small unnamed hill.
