After walking up Middle Fell earlier we decided on staying local for a few more hours and really wanted to capture Wasdale and Wast Water in the evening so we had a few hours to spare. Seeing as we were down near Eskdale and neither of us had seen Stanley Ghyll Force we opted for a short waterfall walk. The waterfall is as beautiful as they say it is and well worth a visit!

A distant view up to Great How and Sca Fell beyond.

Joining the beckside footpath.

There are numerous crossings of the beck along here.

A small waterfall along the path.

The beck meanders its way down the ravine with Rhododendrons on all sides.

Stanley Ghyll Force.

A beautiful long exposure of this impressive and very picturesque waterfall.

One last photo before returning to Wasdale.

Enjoying the view back at Wasdale.

A classic lakeland view and one of the best.

The Screes catching the evening sunshine.
