Route: Dob Gill Waterfalls and Harrop Tarn Circular

With a large storm inbound for the Lake District I decided on a couple of short walks today, the first being up to Dob Gill Waterfalls and Harrop Tarn.

Large areas of tree felling has left the fellside in a sorry state...

A recent storm has caused trees to fall over the waterfalls allowing for a restricted view only.

Harrop Tarn.

A peaceful place, even on a windy day like today.

The Eastern Fells.

Climbing higher allows for a better view of the Tarn.

The beacon on Wythburn Fell.

The summit of Birk Crag and view to Thirlmere.

Thirlmere from Birk Crag.

A cairn near the summit.

A lovely view of Thirlmere on the descent back to the car park.
