The weather was set to be rather poor today, with gales on the summits and frequent rain showers. I really am trying to finish off my second round of the Wainwrights so even though the weather isn't meant to be great I still decided to head up to Base Brown and Green Gable at the southern end of Borrowdale.

Sourmilk Gill crashing down the fellside. Lots of water up there today!

A view up the valley towards Browney Gill.

All wet down in Gillercomb.

The summit cairn on Base Brown with no views today.

Another view of the cairn. From here I headed up to Green Gable.

A quick photo of the summit and time to head down due to the strength of the wind.
