Route: Cyprus Amathounta Archaeological Site and Aphrodite's Temple

It was the day of the wedding which wasn't until 2pm so I had the morning to go off and explore a little more. Down the coast I could see another hill and on Google Maps it showed ruins and an Archaeological area.

Following the promenade along the beack towards the hill in the distance - that is where the Archaeological Area is.

Happy Birthday Maria!

It was a lovely walk along the coast.

Looking back to the Hotels and Marina.

Some amazing rock formations and erosion.

Follow the brown sign!

One of the first ruins you arrive at close to the entrance.

Another ruin by the entrance.

It cost 2.50Euro to enter and you could explore some amazing ruins.

From the information baords, some of the ruins dated to around 2000 years ago.

Ive left the archaeological park now and heading up the hill just behind as there is a temple on the summit I wanted to see.

A view inland over more ruins.

I believe this is one of Aphrodite's Temples and about 2000 years old.

A small Trig on here too.

The view to Limassol.

Exquisite carving on stone.

Some of the local wildlife on the walk down.
