Following the shores of Brothers Water to Hartsop Hall. Plenty of snow around today!

Rough Edge leading up to Caudale Moor.

Kirkstone Pass.

Hartsop Hall.

The track into Dovedale - my first time in this dale!

Dove Crag dominates the head of the valley.

Lower Dovedale.

My route heads up the right hand side of the valley past several lovely waterfalls.

The first of several waterfalls.

For a waterfall as spectacular as this I'm surprised it has no name!

Heading into upper Dovedale.

Dove Crag and the Priest Hole Cave seen clearly from here.

My initial plan was to continue nearer to Dove Crag but instead I decided to head up the side of the fell here to Hartsop Above How. Its as steep as it looks and it was tough!

Stangs and Dove Crag.

Dove Crag and Hart Crag.

Hartsop Above How just ahead.

Dove Crag and the Priests Hole Cave. One day I will have to get up there and have a look.

Hart Crag.

The wintery summit of Hartsop Above How.

Looking to the Far Eastern Fells.

Place Fell and a tiny bit of Ullswater.

Red Screes behind the ridge to High Hartsop Dodd.

Gale Crag ahead.

The summit of Gale Crag. From here the weather changed and the snow and hail came in strong so it was a good decision to cut the walk short anyway!
