A rocky outcrop high above Coledale Tarn and close to the other peaks of Sergeant Man and High Raise. It is easily walked from Great Langdale or Grasmere if you follow the southern ridge near Sergeant Man with a quick detour to the top.

The view from the summit is fairly extensive to the east with the Helvellyn range standing out in particular. The view west and north west is restricted thanks to High Raise and Sergeant Man.
