Birkett - The North Western Fells
Height: 391m (1283ft)
Prominence: 41m (135ft)
Darling Fell has a fair amount of prominence from its parent peak (Low Fell) and is about 1km west of the main summit. Often summited from the Mosser Fell Road as part of a longer walk taking in Low Fell and Fellbarrow.
The sumimt cairn on Darling Fell is on the east top and according to the OS Map the highest point is the west summit you can see in the background. No cairn marks the highest point - I think this one has developed because it commands a far superior view.
