Blind Tarn
Elevation: 568m (1863ft) Depth: 23ft Apx
Location: South of Dow Crag.
Blind Tarn is a small sheet of water in a beautiful setting. It is named so because it has no apparent inflow or outflow as seen in the photo below. A small path from the Walna Scar Road takes you to the tarn, and offers views up to Brown Pike and Coniston Old Man. If you climb up onto the ridge between Brown Pike and Buck Pike, there are views down to the Tarn and out as far as Coniston Water and Morcambe Bay.
